Experiential marketing became a mainstay at Patten. It fed our PR efforts and it persuaded prospects and customers to buy and rent equipment.

Live broadcast of The Mix radio show where the co-hosts participated in a commercial mower race coincided with a sports marketing program I ran at the Kane County Cougars stadium. This show was also picked up by television stations. We not only showcased our turf equipment line but we powered the event with Patten Power Systems.

I planned and executed several customer trips to Peoria/CAT headquarters for demonstrations and the opportunity to play in the sandbox.

I also organized several golf outings including Cog Hill and Prairie Landing and a rooftop game at Wrigley.

Also shown here, I helped a number of contractors apply each year to the Contractor of the Year award sponsored by Construction Equipment Guide. Winners got a cover, a trip to Las Vegas and participated in a NASCAR race event and roundtable discussion.
